Laboratory Pan Mixer
Product Code : EL-CTLE-10287
Laboratory Pan Mixer (code EL-CTLE-10287) is a double rotation concrete mixer for preparing the many small batches needed to study how different constituents affect the properties of concrete. Its pan has a 42 litre dimensional volume, of which 15 litres is the effective mixing capacity, a second engine turns the stirring beater against the drum's rotation, and the 2600 W machine measures 650 × 900 × 1200 mm and weighs about 230 kg.

What Is the Laboratory Pan Mixer Used For?
Trial mixes for mix design and research call for many small batches, each changing one constituent such as the cement, an admixture or the aggregate grading, so that its effect on fresh and hardened concrete can be seen. The operator loads the pan, closes the shutter and runs the mixer, following progress through the observation window while the beater and pan turn in opposite directions. When mixing is complete the drum is tilted to discharge the concrete for workability tests or for filling moulds, then lifted out for washing, and the mixer is wheeled to where it is next needed. The standards listed for the pan mixer are BS and IS.

Frequently Asked Questions
How much concrete can the pan mixer take in one batch?
An effective mixing capacity of 15 litres is available within the 42 litre dimensional volume of the pan, which suits the small trial batches used in laboratory studies.
What does double rotation mean on this mixer?
A second engine drives the stirring beater in the opposite direction to the rotation of the mixing drum, giving two counter-rotating motions within the batch.
Can the mixing be watched without stopping the machine?
Yes. The shutter has a small observation window for watching the process, and it opens through 120° when the drum needs to be reached.
How is the drum emptied and cleaned?
The drum tilts to empty the mixture, and when the mixing operation is finished it can be taken out of the machine for cleaning.
What power, size and weight should be planned for?
The mixer is rated at 2600 W, measures 650 × 900 × 1200 mm and weighs approximately 230 kg; rubber wheels let it be moved around the laboratory.
How is the mixer protected against water and corrosion?
The machine has protection class IP55, and all of its parts are galvanized and finished with non-corrosive paint.
