What Is the Electronic Thermometer Used For?

A thermocouple is a pair of wires of two different metals joined at the tip; the junction produces a small voltage that depends on its temperature, and the thermometer converts this voltage into a reading. With four input channels, the operator can place thermocouples at several points, for example in an oven, a bath and a sample, and see all four readings on the backlit display at once to 0.1 °C. The timer helps with timed heating or cooling checks, and the PC interface allows readings to be passed to a computer for logging and further work.
