What Is the Groove Cutter Machine Used For?
The machine cuts narrow grooves, 6 mm wide and up to 300 mm deep, with its 900 mm diamond blade, for rock testing work in which a thin, straight-sided slot has to be made in the material. Before cutting, it is connected to the power supply through the wire lead and plug socket, with the electrical panel board serving the 20 HP motor, and a water connection giving at least 18 Ltr/Min is made at the place of use; the water cools the diamond blade and carries away the cuttings. At about 390 kg, the machine is set in position before the cut is started.
