What Is the Electronic Spring Tension Machine Used For?
Spring makers and test laboratories need to know the load a spring gives at a set length, or the length it reaches under a set load, and its rate or stiffness, the load per unit deflection. The spring is placed between the pressure plates for compression, or held in the tensile space for tension, and the computer drives the crosshead through the ball screw at the chosen speed while force and displacement are recorded. The operator can set a load and read the deflection or height, set a height and read the load, check up to 10 points, and run pre-compression cycles before the test points are taken.
What to Specify When Ordering
- Quantity — the number of machines required.
- Maximum test force — 10 kN, 20 kN, 30 kN, 50 kN, 100 kN, 200 kN or 300 kN.
- Frame layout — upper tensile with lower compression, or upper compression with lower tensile.
- Springs to be tested — the spring types and sizes, so that the test space and pressure plate suit them.
Frequently Asked Questions
What can the Electronic Spring Tension Machine test?
It tests the tension, compression, displacement and rigidity of springs, including tension, compression, tower, leaf, clip, flat, composite, gas, mold and deformed springs and saucer reeds.
Which maximum test forces are offered?
Maximum test forces of 10 kN, 20 kN, 30 kN, 50 kN, 100 kN, 200 kN and 300 kN are listed, with a stepless force range of 2% to 100% of full scale.
What error limits are given for force and displacement?
Test force and displacement relative errors are both ≤±1%, displacement resolution is 0.01 mm, and the test accuracy is Class 1.
What test modes can be set?
A load can be set to find deformation or remaining height, or a deformation or height set to find the load; up to 10 detection points can be set, including return detection.
What speed range does it have?
The speed adjustment range is 0.05–300 mm/min or 0.05–200 mm/min, with a speed error of ≤±1%.
What should an export enquiry include?
Include the quantity, maximum test force and frame layout, the destination country and port or city, delivery terms such as FOB or CIF, packing requirements and any tender reference.
