What Is the Heating Jacket Mixer Used For?
Laboratory mixing brings aggregate and binder together in the proportions of a trial mix so that specimens can be compacted and tested, and the batch has to stay at its prescribed temperature for the binder to coat the aggregate properly. The heated aggregate and bitumen are weighed into the bowl, the bowl is kept hot by the Iso Mantle or the thermostatic heater, and the beater works the batch at one of the two speeds until every particle is coated.
