What Are the Sampling Bowls Used For?
Samples of soil, sand or aggregate brought to the laboratory are usually emptied into a bowl so that they can be mixed, inspected, divided and carried to the balance or oven without loss. A stainless steel bowl does not rust when wet material stands in it, and it can be washed and used again for the next sample.
