What Is the Laboratory Digital Planetary Mixer Used For?
Asphalt specimens for laboratory testing are made from aggregate and bitumen that must be blended until every particle is evenly coated, and the mix has to be repeated the same way for each batch. The aggregate and binder are placed in the 5 litre bowl, the whisk is fitted, and the operator sets the planetary and whisk speeds on the keyboard, adjusting them while the mixer runs if needed. The planetary action carries the turning whisk around the bowl so that it reaches all of the mix, and the front grill has to stay closed for the machine to run. The mixed material then goes on to compaction and performance tests.
What to Specify When Ordering
