What Is the CNC Milling Machine Used For?

In CNC milling the workpiece is clamped to the table and a rotating cutter in the spindle removes material while the machine moves the table, saddle and spindle head along programmed paths. The operator fixes the work using the 14 mm T-slots, writes a part program in NC language or builds it with the AI programming function, which guides the choice of instructions, tools and cutting conditions on screen, and runs it with all three axes moving together. Rigid tapping (M29) cuts threads under program control, handwheel feed allows manual positioning, and background editing lets a new program be prepared while another one runs.

What to Specify When Ordering

Frequently Asked Questions

How large a workpiece can the table take?
The working space of the table is 650 mm × 400 mm and it carries a workpiece mass of up to 300 kg as a uniform load, with 3 T-slots of 14 mm size at 125 mm pitch for clamping.

What are the axis travels?
The table moves 500 mm longitudinally on the X-axis, the saddle 400 mm across on the Y-axis and the spindle head 300 mm vertically on the Z-axis, and all three axes can be controlled simultaneously.

How fast are the rapid traverse and feed?
Rapid traverse runs at 48 m/min on the X, Y and Z axes, and the feedrate goes up to 30000 mm/min for cutting moves.

What does the controller provide?
It has 512 kbyte of part program storage for up to 200 registerable programs, a 10.4 inch colour LCD operation panel, an RS-232C interface, High Response Velocity, rigid tapping (M29), handwheel feed and background and extended part program editing.

How does the AI programming function help the operator?
It offers on-screen selection of instructions with guidance, estimates default values with minimum key strokes and assists with tool selection and cutting conditions; programs can also be written directly in NC language.

What space and power does the machine need?
The machine stands 2236 mm high on a floor space of 1615 mm × 2040 mm, has a mass of approximately 2000 kg and runs on a 200-240 VAC, 50-60 Hz, 3-phase power source.
