Brinell Hardness Tester
Product Code : EL-STLE-10961
Brinell Hardness Tester (code EL-STLE-10961) is a machine for Brinell hardness testing in the steel testing lab, in which the operator picks one of several test loads and a dwell time from a touch-pad panel. Once started, the tester applies the load, keeps it on for the dwell period and takes it off again automatically, without the operator handling the load.

What Is the Brinell Hardness Tester Used For?
Brinell hardness is found by pressing a hard ball into the surface of the metal under a known load, keeping the load on for a set time and then measuring the width of the impression; the hardness number falls as the impression grows. Different loads are used so that the impression comes out at a suitable size for the material being tested. Here the operator chooses the load and dwell time on the touch-pad panel and starts the test, and the tester completes the loading, holding and unloading on its own, so the timing does not depend on hand operation.
What to Specify When Ordering
- Quantity — the number of hardness testers required.
Frequently Asked Questions
How is a test run on this tester?
After a load and a dwell time are picked on the touch-pad, starting the test sets off an automatic sequence of loading, holding and unloading.
Can the test load be changed?
Yes. There are different loads to choose from, so the load can be matched to the material and the size of impression wanted.
Is the dwell time adjustable?
The dwell time, during which the full load stays on the specimen, can be selected before each test from the panel.
How do I send an enquiry for this tester?
