What Is the Corner Guard Used For?
When concrete products such as pipes, blocks or precast units are tied down for storage or transport, a tensioned strap or chain bearing directly on an edge can chip or scar the concrete. The corner guard is placed over the edge before the strap or chain, up to 4" wide, is tightened, so that the pressure bears on the guard instead of the corner. It has been freeze tested to below 0 degrees for cold-weather use and does not discolour.
