What Is the Square Hole Form Used For?
A square opening cast into concrete gives a ready-made recess for a square post or service pipe, so the slab does not have to be cut afterwards. Before concreting, the form is fixed where the opening is wanted, with its tab tip set on the marked centre line; being highly visible, it can be picked out on the slab while concrete is placed around it. After the concrete hardens, a pull on the tab draws the form out and leaves a 4" x 4" opening.

Frequently Asked Questions
What size opening does it make?
The form leaves a square opening of 4" x 4" in the concrete once it has been stripped out.
How is the form lined up?
Alignment is taken from the tip of the tab, which marks the centre line, so the form is placed with the tip on the line set out for the opening.
How is it stripped from the concrete?
A pull on the tab removes the form; the same tab serves as both the alignment point and the pull for stripping.
What makes it safe to handle on site?
The form has no sharp edges, and its high visibility helps workers spot it in position on the pour.
