Fuel Injection and Engine Management Test Bench
Product Code : EL-TELE-10698
Fuel Injection and Engine Management Test Bench (code EL-TELE-10698) is an automatic electronic fuel injection (EFI) trainer for teaching the fundamentals of an engine management system. Speed, MAP, throttle position, temperature and CAM sensors feed an ECU that actuates the injector and ignition system, while application software linked over K-Line shows every input and output on a computer. The mild steel bench has a speed range of 50-400 rpm and a power rating of 11 kW.

What Is the Fuel Injection and Engine Management Test Bench Used For?
An engine management system reads sensors that report engine speed, manifold pressure, throttle position, temperature and camshaft position, and the ECU uses lookup tables to decide how long each injector stays open, when injection starts and when the spark occurs. On the bench, students watch these inputs and outputs in the application software over the K-Line link, then change the duration and start of injection, ignition timing and dwell angle to see the effect on engine operation. They can also optimise the lookup tables and their correction factors at different speeds and follow the resulting signals on an oscilloscope.
What to Specify When Ordering
- Quantity — the number of test benches required.
Frequently Asked Questions
What is the Fuel Injection and Engine Management Test Bench used to teach?
It is an automatic EFI trainer for studying the fundamentals of an engine management system: how sensor signals reach the ECU and how the ECU controls injection and ignition.
Which sensors does the bench use?
Signals come from a speed sensor, a MAP sensor, a Throttle Position Sensor, a temperature sensor and a CAM sensor, all of which are sent to the Electronic Control Unit.
Which parameters can students vary?
Students can change the Duration of Injection, Start of Injection, ignition timing and dwell angle, and optimise the DOI, SOI, SOS and dwell time lookup tables and their correction factors under different speed conditions.
How does the computer communicate with the ECU?
K-Line communication links the computer and the ECU, and the dedicated application software supplied with the system monitors all input-output parameters on the computer.
Can the signals be viewed on an oscilloscope?
Yes. The signals produced as the lookup tables and injection settings are changed can all be monitored on an oscilloscope as well as in the application software.
What are its main technical ratings?
The bench is built of mild steel, runs at 50-400 rpm, is rated at 11 kW and 50 Hz, and has an output voltage of 220 V/380 V.
