Automatic Flexure/Tension Machine

Automatic Flexure/Tension Machine

Product Code : EL-CTLE-10368

Automatic Flexure/Tension Machine (code EL-CTLE-10368) is a beam-loading tester for flexural strength tests on cement specimens and tensile tests on cement briquettes. A travelling weight driven by an electric motor gives a constant increase in load up to the 5000 N capacity, with dual range, automatic stop at failure and single lever loading; flexural or tensile attachments are ordered separately, and the machine runs on 230 V, 50 Hz, 1 ph at 40 W and weighs 52 kg net.

What Is the Automatic Flexure/Tension Machine Used For?

The flexural strength of cement mortar prisms and the tensile strength of briquettes show how hardened mortar resists bending and pulling, alongside its compressive strength. The operator fits the flexural or tensile attachment, places the prism or briquette in it and starts the motor. The weight then travels along the beam, raising the load on the specimen at a constant rate through the single lever until the specimen breaks, at which point the machine stops automatically and the failure load is noted. The standards listed are ASTM C349, ASTM C348, EN 196-1 and ASTM C190.

What to Specify When Ordering

  • Quantity — the number of machines required.
  • Attachments — the flexural attachment, the tensile (briquette) attachment or both, as they are ordered separately.

Frequently Asked Questions

What tests does the Automatic Flexure/Tension Machine carry out?
It finds the flexural strength of cement specimens and carries out tensile tests on cement briquettes, with the matching attachment fitted for each.

How is the load applied?
A beam loading system carries a travelling weight driven by an electric motor, giving a constant increase in load through single lever loading until the specimen fails.

What is its capacity?
The machine has a capacity of 5000 N with dual range, and it stops automatically as soon as the specimen fails.

Are the attachments included?
No. The machine accepts either flexural or tensile attachments, and these are ordered separately as accessories according to the specimens to be tested.

What power supply and space does it need?
It runs on 230 V, 50 Hz, 1 ph with a wattage of 40 W, measures 510 × 1050 × 720 mm and has a net weight of approximately 52 kg.

How should an order be sent?
